Presenter Overview
Steve Tom joined the Automated Logic Corporation in 1996 as the Director of Technical Information. In this role he has worked with the Technical Support, Documentation, and Training departments. He led a cross-disciplinary team that developed a library of standard HVAC applications and is currently overseeing the development of CtrlSpecBuilder, a free online tool for generating HVAC Control specifications. A significant portion of his work involves working with new product design to improve the usability of ALC products.
Prior to joining Automated Logic, Mr. Tom was an officer in the US Air Force, working in the Civil Engineering career field. In the Air Force he managed the design, construction, and maintenance of facilities and utility systems around the world. He also taught graduate level engineering courses in HVAC Design and HVAC Controls at the Air Force Institute of Technology.
Mr. Tom has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and is a registered Professional Engineer.
